Duplicating attributes to speed up your process

Creating all attributes manually might be a tedious job and take up loads of time. But we have good news! You can install a duplicate post plugin that enables you to duplicate attributes and speed up the process of creating configurable products. In this post we will explain how.

In this post we will cover the two most downloaded duplicate post plugins that are available for free at the moment of writing. This being the Yoast duplicate post plugin and the Duplicate Post by Copy and Delete posts.

Yoast duplicate post

Go to plugins, search for Yoast Duplicate Post and install and activate the plugin.

Installation

When the plugin is activated, you will find a new submenu item under Settings called ‘Duplicate Post’. Click the menu item and go to the Permissions tab.

Locate the “Enable for these post types” setting and check the “Staggs Attributes” box. Save changes and go back to the Attributes page.

Duplicating attributes

When you hover over the attributes you will now see additional options:

Simply click “Clone” or “New draft”. This will create a copy of the attribute you selected.

Finally, edit the duplicated attribute and hit the publish button.

You have now successfully created a duplicate of your Staggs Attribute.

Duplicate Post (Copy & Delete Posts)

Install and activate the Duplicate Post plugin by Copy & Delete Posts.

This plugin does not require any settings. Simply hit the ‘copy’ button and it will duplicate the given attribute.
