How to set 3D model variants

In this post we will show you how to control the 3D model variants.

If you are not sure if your model has variants, or how your variants are called, please head over to our 3D model inspector and check your 3D model.

Attribute value settings

If we want to update the model when changing an attribute value, we have to modify the product image settings of the attribute.

Head over to your Staggs attribute you want to control the variants with and open up the “Presentation” tab

In the attribute, we set gallery type to ‘3D model’ (available in PRO version).

Next, we enter the 3D model group label. In this case ‘variantName’, because we want to update the variant.

For the attribute items, make sure to set the attribute label to the variant name.

Otherwise the model won’t update.

Note: the labels are case-sensitive.
