Creating your first attribute with options

In this article we will show you how you can set up your first attribute with options

In this post:

Once the plugin is activated, you will see new menu item called ‘Staggs’

Creating a new attribute

Go to Staggs > Attributes and click new attribute

Enter your attribute title.

This is very important. You cannot leave attribute titles or option labels empty. That can break the configuration.

Next, choose a template. The template will affect how the options are displayed.

For now you can leave the Type to Image

Let’s start adding in some options now

Scroll down and click the button “Add attribute item”

Next, enter the option name in the field Label.

Optionally add additional text in the Note field if you want to clarify the label

If you want to show an image in the option field, you can use the field “Thumbnail”.

This will be used in options, cards and image swatches

You can also update the main product image view.

To update the main product image, upload an image to the Main image field.

You will notice that you can upload multiple images into this field.

So you can add one image for each view to update.

Finally you can choose to add an additional cost for this option. To do so, enter the field price.

You can choose from various template options, like dropdown, option list, cards, button group and more

With template selected, make sure you have correct type selected as well.

For most options you can use default option type: Image

But if you want to add color or font selections, you can change this to “Color” or “Font“
