If you only want to sell products in stock, and you don’t want to allow customers to purchase on backorder, you might want to set the stock positions for your attribute items. Attribute level stock You can set stock positions on attribute level, and set out of stock behaviour globally or on attribute item level too. That is up to you. We have added a few fields to control the stock positions for attribute items:
First, you have to set the option ‘stock management’ to ‘yes’. Then, a few more fields pop out. You can set the stock quantity, which is the current stock position. Next, you can choose to enable out of stock management on attribute item level. You can choose to hide the attribute when it is out of stock, or display in the configurator with an out of stock message. The message defaults to ‘Out of stock’, but you can write down whatever you like. Global stock settings
You can also manage part of the stock behaviour in Staggs -> Settings -> Stock (tab). Here you can manage the default out of stock behaviour of all attribute items. You can override this setting in the individual attribute item. Notifications You can also enable email notifications. You will be notified by email when a certain stock level for an attribute item has been reached, so you can increase stock in time. Product level stock Finally, the configurator listens to the default WooCommerce product stock settings. When a product is marked as out of stock in the WooCommerce stock settings, you will not be able to purchase that particular product.
